About

Sergio Ramirez Lesmes

Born in Bogotá, 1989, Master of Fine Arts from the University Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano, his practice is directed towards photography and  illustration. His beginnings in photography are given by the taste of extreme sports  and the inspiration that the sea and the ocean itself constantly provide. Their  projects are directed to the concept of identity  and the experiences that  (de)construct throughout life. On the other hand, it analyzes the stereotypes that  make up society. His work attempts to highlight problems that have been  always present in everyday life, adding a bit of humor and  provocation. He recently finished the Master of photography and design at the University School of Design and Engineering of Barcelona (ELISAVA) where he managed to complement his knowledge through the medium. Link the artistic practice  with commercial assignments and travel photography.
